Sexy!!!A friend mine recommended this book and indeed, it doesn't disappoint like too many books of this genre.
"Hook Up" is presents more than steamy action, it shares the feelings of the protagonists, Macy, Emma, and Tobias. It all makes sense.The story begins with Macy setting a trap for her philandering husband. She creates a profile at the online dating site "Hook Up" and he falls for it.
"... She (Macy) got out of the car, slamming the door loudly behind her. As he turned to look at her, she watched the colour drain from his face as reality hit him. His meal ticket with Macy was over; she had hooked him with his own Hook Up site. As she stood looking at him, Macy sent a text: Got you..."
Now that the 20- year marriage has ended, 55-year old well to do Macy decides to explore "Hook Up" for her own needs; she sets up her own profile.
It is this development of the story that makes this book not just another erotic story book. It makes sense that after finding out that her husband is a philandering alcoholic, who spends her money, Macy will strike back and do her own thing. Not only is there the element of revenge but also the feeling of freedom. Also, Macy can afford it. When she meets Tobias on "Hook Up" the two hit it off, exploring every erotic adventure they can think of, in the bedroom. There are also friends, Emma, Sanska, and Tom. Also being over the age of fifty, I appreciate the idea of the he Rocky Horror Picture Show event (though I did wonder if younger reader have even heard about this great musical/movie).
"Hook Up" is a classy erotic novel, sure to please people over the age of forty.

What a sexy flirtatious novel Harvey-Jones have written and shared with us! The exploration of sexuality is a timely topic and is done in a non-judgemental manner. It was fun, delightful and filled with surprise. The characters are beautifully developed. I couldn't put it down!
Hook Up is a light weekend read for those who enjoy some adult entertainment. It's not exactly my type of genre, but I think those who are hooked with erotic fantasies will have a total bliss and even might get inspired to alter their sex lives!
Fifty shades of grey for Seniors? Perhaps, although Tobias is a bit younger than Macy. Some of the descriptions were a bit much, but there was a story behind it, holding everything together. Forgot to say that I absolutely loved the cover.
Not my typical read, but fun nonetheless! Is it raunchy? Sure, which is part of the fun. But there's an underlying story that challenges the norms and the status quo of everything from what a heroine is supposed to look like (in this case, Macy, a full figured women in her 50s - go girl) to whom people are supposed to have relationships with and what that's supposed to look like. It's a great exploration of relationships and sexuality, and manages to be both fun and scintillating.
I have never read a book in this genre before so I did not know what to expect. As it turned out, I thought it was very well done; descriptive and detailed, but written in such a way as to not seem vulgar. The story's main character, Macy, is an older woman who evidently was feeling oppressed in her marriage, because when she obtains her freedom, she begins a wild journey of sexual exploration. The book's underlying message of non-judgemental free expression is clear and gives purpose to the story. I would definitely recommend it for readers of this genre!
Hook Up by Harvey Jones is a fast paced, thrill ride of erotic desires. The story takes you to places most people won't even talk about when it comes to sex, but at its root this is a love story. It is also a tale of coming-out, seeking others like yourself, and being accepted completely for who and what you are. The message here is very simple; just be yourself. Everything else will follow.
Now that's not to downplay the hot scenes laid out through the book. There are many thrilling acts depicted, that are guaranteed to leave your blood pumping and keep you reading for more! I finished this book in only a couple of hours, as I was curoius about the characters jourey and whether they would end up fully at peace with who they were, and with each other.
A fun read, not a genre I usually find myself interested in due to the abundance of it. But this story was very human, and overall, very touching. (ZING!)

The storyline is delightfully clever as the two explore sexual proclivities, they both experience freedom, excitement and maybe even...love. I don't want to give away too much. The authors are daring in their exploration of sexuality and alternative lifestyles, showing that love is love regardless of how it may look to an outsider. In this day in age, when tolerance and acceptance of unconventional lifestyles should be a given, the authors tell a story that is both intriguing and socially relevant. The underlying message sometimes love and companionship can be found in unlikely places. In addition, I enjoyed the authors' writing style. This is a fast and easy read, completely enjoyable.
